Our Team
At F.I.S.T., our team is made up of passionate individuals who understand the challenges our community faces—because we’ve been there ourselves. Many of us have personal experience with the struggles our programs address, whether it’s transitioning from the military, rebuilding life after incarceration, overcoming financial hardships, or surviving domestic violence. We know firsthand how hard it can be, and that’s why we are committed to helping others find hope and success.
Our staff brings valuable insight, knowledge, and lived experience to every program we offer. We started F.I.S.T. because we believe no one should have to go through these challenges alone. With guidance, resources, and a strong support system, we know that people can overcome their circumstances and build a better future. Our team is here to walk that journey with them—because together, we are stronger.

Robert Williams
Chief Operating Officer
I am driven by a passion for empowering individuals and communities through financial education and strategic planning. My journey began as the owner of the first Black-owned barbershop on the University of Tennessee campus, where I cultivated a spirit of entrepreneurship and connection.
With 18 years as a licensed Master Barber, I honed the art of listening, mentorship, and leadership, which naturally transitioned into my work as CEO of Y.O.V.E.M.E.N.T., a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring youth, and COO of F.I.S.T., a community-empowering organization.
Pouring into people, particularly underserved youth, fuels my mission to create lasting impact. Deeply connected to my African heritage, I embrace cultural pride and authenticity as a foundation for growth and inspiration.
